THE TALE OF NATASHA + GABRIEL
In 2021, I was faced with a situation where I left my full-time job of two great years and was fresh out of work. During this time, I took up an old dream of mine where I wanted to start my own photography business. I took the leap, got my business license, and got to work. Luckily, I was already in talks with a few clients that kept me busy throughout the beginning of the business, but one client stood out from the rest.
I received an email by someone named Natasha, who loved my work and wanted to hire me for her wedding. I have shot many weddings before both before and during my business’ first year, but this one was very different. We got to talking and she started sharing that she’s had this vision for an engagement shoot in the mountains under the sunset. For one, I love hiking and two, I LOVE sunsets and combining both for a wedding? YES PLEASE!
I fully expected to do one of my more affordable packages, but to my surprise, she opted for my BIG package that had everything included. Photo, video, printouts, you name it. I was beyond happy. I was full of joy that someone loved my work so much, they didn’t mind purchasing that package. From that moment, I decided to put my all into making sure their engagement session and wedding day were fully captured with all the magic they deserved.
Fast forward to the engagement session, we drove all the way to the south of Guam in the beautiful village of Malesso. We disembarked, exchanged greetings, and ventured to the location of Priest Pools (luckily, the location is only 8 minutes away from where we parked, and the terrain was relatively flat). Once we arrived, we were stunned by how clear the weather was and how serene the landscape. There were no clouds in the sky, we had lots of time to shoot, and both Natasha and her fiancé Gabe were super down for any pose. We did some poses in the tall grass and did some in the actual pools! This was the DREAM session I’ve always had imagined and they made it so memorable for an engagement.
Because they purchased the big package, they also got video included and my #1 video go-to guy, Justin, was there to support me both on land and in the water. Needless to say, their engagement left a deep impression in me that I will never forget. You can check out their wedding video and engagement photos below!
